Educational Advocacy Available for Special Education
OCDNY’s Treasurer, Scott L. Sokolow (Brown University ’85), has been an Educational Advocate since 1997. In this position Mr. Sokolow assists parents/guardians navigate the often-confusing process of special education so that they can make well informed decisions regarding their child’s education. Having persevered through the process for his own child, Mr. Sokolow has become adept at obtaining appropriate educational services and accommodations from school districts. With a primary focus on kindergarten thru high school, he works closely with his clients to meet their individual needs as well as inform them of their educational rights. Additionally, Mr. Sokolow advises on transitioning to a college/vocational program as well as the preparation for entry into the workforce.
Mr. Sokolow can be reached at OCD New York, Inc. with any questions you may have regarding your own specific individual needs. Email: info@ocdny.org
